This collection is simply brilliant! Not only is it intelligent, it plays with the reader's emotions. Her style has a perfect blend of imagery and weight. There are wonderful themes of water, night, and grime, that allow the stories to flow into one another. Many of them come equipped with an eerie sort of calm. As I was reading, I thought, "This one is definitely going to be my favorite," but then, I read the next one and the next and now I can't decide. Reading this anthology was definitely time well spent; it made me question things, caught me off guard, and made me pause for a minute. I thoroughly enjoyed the ride.
