Janey finds a French coin in her raincoat pocket. Then a man on the opposite bank of the river asks her if he can paint her into his picture that he will be entering into an international competition that will be held in France. Then later, a Frenchman asks her to call him, and when she does he tells her that Chris, the artist, was killed in an accident, but that he asked him to bring the painting to her and also pack up his cottage. The Frenchman then suggests she should go back to France with him, as he is falling in love with her. So where will all these French connections lead Janey, who recently broke up with the man she was going to marry because she wanted to spend their honeymoon in France, while he wanted to spend it on his family's farm in the Kalahari??
