The To Be Sinclair series occurs some six hundred years in the future, in which Earth has survived an ecological near-apocalypse and discovered a way to travel to the stars by developing jump ships that jump through wormholes to other star volumes. The series focuses on the development of the greatest ruling family in the history of the galaxy, starting on the planet Sinclair Demesne, which is down to its sole surviving scion. The light to moderate science supports the world-building without overwhelming the reader, and the series revolves around the lady who creates stargate science, opening up the galaxy to an unlimited future of human expansion and growth. Subsequent books about her children and grandchildren make for compelling romances while the importance of and need for stargate science is a theme common throughout the books.
