Anthony Strollo became the chief lieutenant of Vito Genovese, who was head of a New York Crime family. Strollo disappeared in 1962 and his remains have never been found. There has been speculation that he disappeared voluntarily, perhaps going to Florida where his friend Joe Adonis lived.
