The casinos will always be able to pay their rents as long as Blackjack players believe you draw on a fifteen total hand and stand on a sixteen total hand when playing Basic Blackjack and not casing or counting the Blackjack deck. A quick read of Blackjack EZ Count will show you there are four more cards that will hurt a fifteen trying to become a twenty-one than there are cards that will help a fifteen trying to become a twenty-one. So if you want to think outside-the-box and not stumble after the crowd when playing Basic Blackjack you should draw on a fourteen total hand and stand on fifteen total hand because four more cards will help a fourteen trying to become a twenty-one than will hurt a fourteen trying to become a twenty-one.
Casing a Blackjack deck is your first step to becoming a Blackjack card counter by observing the cards being played and giving yourself a little better chance of taking money off the table and bringing it home. Casing a Blackjack deck is really quite simple: you observe the number of Tens, Jacks, Queens, and Kings being dealt from the Blackjack deck and weigh that against the other cards being dealt from the Blackjack deck and then decide if you should break the draw on fourteen or stand on fifteen rule because you know there are fewer small cards being dealt then there are Tens, Jacks, Queens and Kings being dealt so you know that means the deck is fairly heavy with small cards as opposed to Tens, Jacks, Queens and Kings so there is less chance of you drawing a card that will hurt a breaking hand. Or you see there are more Tens, Jacks, Queens and Kings hiding in the deck so you know that you are more likely to draw a card that will hurt your breaking hand. By drawing on fourteen and standing on fifteen when you have a breaking hand and using card casing you will have a little better chance of bringing home the cash. Your next step is to learn to count cards by giving a value to each card that you see dealt on your Blackjack table.
Blackjack is the only casino game that you can teach yourself to take a little cash off the table and bring it home. There are many counting methods. Most are difficult to learn, for an average guy like me, so I have learned over the years that simplicity works best for most people.
Take a look at this counting method; a method that has served me well for fifty-seven years of my life. Today we are going to learn to make the casinos our twenty-four-hour-seven-days a week bank. Let’s get started. Sit on the stool, at the end of the table, on the Dealer's right hand side. It would be nice if you could go head-to head with the dealer, but that will be rare. If there are two other people at the table, you are in the last position to the immediate right of the dealer; you count:
Zero when an Ace shows.
Plus two when a two shows
Plus two when a three shows.
Plus two when a four shows.
Plus two when a five shows.
Plus one when a six shows.
Plus one when a seven shows.
Minus one when a eight shows.
Minus one when a nine shows.
Minus two when a ten shows.
Minus two when a Jack shows.
Minus two when a Queen shows.
Minus two when a King shows.

If you count correctly, the count will always end up zero on the last card. An excellent way to learn the EZ Blackjack count is as follows: take a full deck of cards and place the deck face down in the palm of your left hand. Place your left thumb in the center of the first card in the deck and push it to the right until your middle finger catches the right edge of the card and slides it face up through the crease between the middle and index fingers and then your ring finger and little finger should be used to pull the card face up under the deck. You count as the card disappears under the full deck of cards.
Let's go through a deck and use this method. There will much repetition, but this book is all about repetition. If you can't handle repetition, you will not be able to learn the EZ Count method. Always carry a deck of cards fifty-two cards strong and then pull it out and use it to learn the EZ Count method by flipping the cards with the finger on your left hand while walking or riding on the bus or sitting and watching commercials on the television. Here comes the repetition. We are going to count all fifty-two cards of this first deck.
Place the deck face down in the palm of your left hand. Learn EZ Count Basic by heart. Read it one hundred times and then read it one hundred times more. Learn it until you can recite it in your sleep
The deck should always count back to zero or you missed the count. Go over the above ten times and then switch to a physical deck and push the first card to the right until your middle finger catches the right edge of the card and slides it face up through the crease between the middle and index fingers and then your ring finger and little finger pull the card face up under the deck. You count as the card disappears under the full deck of cards. Count the cards in one hundred decks and then do another one hundred. Repeat and repeat and repeat.
You are dealt a three up and a ten under: you count plus two and minus two. Plus two and minus two equals zero. The dealer’s up card is four: you count plus two. zero and plus two equal plus two. The player at the first position, holds his two cards and scratches them on the table indicating to the dealer that he wants to be dealt a third card. He is dealt a seven face up. You count plus one. Plus one and plus two equals plus three. He slips the two cards, in his hand, under his face up card signaling he needs no more cards dealt to him. The player at the second position, holds his two cards and scratches them on the table indicating to the dealer that he wants to be dealt a third card. The second player is dealt a ten face up: you count minus two. Plus three and minus two equals plus one. He places the two cards, in his hand, face up, on the table, indicating to the dealer that he is gone bust and has drawn more than twenty-one. He shows a seven and a five: you count plus one and plus two. Plus one and plus two and and the running total of plus one equal plus four.
You have thirteen against the dealer’s assumed breaking hand. There is a plus four count. meaning there are more breaking cards than small cards; a good reason to stand. But you know a thirteen hand is easy to hit for both you and the dealer. You know there are twelve more card that can help a thirteen try to become a twenty-one than can hurt a thirteen try to become a twenty-one; so you think you might draw but you have done your homework and have learned that a plus and minus count should be adjusted because the count is more accurate at the end of a deck of cards then at mid-deck when half the cards have been dealt or certainly more accurate then when the deck contains all fifty-two cards. So you quickly argue with yourself and decide to stand on thirteen. The dealer goes bust. If you take the time to read and practice the information in this book and have the information become second nature, you will use knowledge and logic to quickly assess the most logical outcome of each hand. You'll still lose hands due to Old Lady Luck, but you will win more hands of Blackjack than you lose.
With Blackjack EZ Count, we keep it easy. You will only be concerned with five hands: when you are holding a twelve, a thirteen, a fourteen, a fifteen, or a sixteen. All considered Breaking Hands for the dealer and you. It is assumed that the dealer's undercard is a ten and the next card dealt will also be a ten; there is no logic to this bit of Blackjack magic. Instead of sixteen tens, in a Blackjack deck of cards, there would have to be twenty-six tens in a deck of Blackjack cards and no one at the table would be allowed to be dealt more than two cards or the "every second card is a ten magic" would go against the House just as much as it would go against the player. Truth is; tens are about thirty percent of the deck as are small cards: aces, twos, threes, and fours. Fives, sixes, sevens, eights, and nines make up about forty percent of a Blackjack deck and thereby show up most. Let's forget about all that casino magic and sit down and earn some money.
Our first hand to consider is when you get your first two cards, dealt by the dealer, with a value of twelve. The first of the "Breaking Hands."

Now let's look at EZ Count Start Deck. The count becomes more and more meaningful as the deck is dealt and the remaining deck moves closer and closer toward its end,
A count of plus two at the first hands dealt is a lot less informative than a plus two count at the end of the deck when you know the last two cards must be tens. So we are going to learn to play the remaining cards at the start of deck, the middle of the deck, and the end of the deck. The first three hands dealt from a full deck will be called "Start Deck." The next three hands dealt from the remaining deck will be called "Mid Deck. And the last three hands dealt from the last remaining cards will be called the "End Deck."

I know some excellent card counters who never bring any cash home. You must leave the table. If you’re at a winning table but you never take anything off the table, you will never bring anything home. This is how I bring cash home. If I’m using a small or large kitty, I do the same. Say I only have a one thousand dollar kitty; I break it into five units. I take the first two hundred dollars to the first table with the least number of players. I buy two hundred dollars in chips. I stack all the chips on the table. I make five dollar bets (Unless I’m playing at a table with a high roller). I make bets off the original stack of chips and I never replenish the stack. All winnings go into my pockets. I leave the table when the original stack is gone. I go to a second table and buy two hundred dollars of fresh chips and repeat as I did at table number one. I never touch the chips in my pockets until I have played all five tables or I have so many chips in my pockets that I must cash in. When I finish at table number five I count my chips.
It is ideal to very you bets when the plus count is high but only when the attention is on someone else: some high-roller who is losing big. Otherwise the dealer will just continuously shuffle the deck. A simple method I use to keep the dealer from thinking that I am counting cards is to let your bet ride. An example would be as follows: If your table kitty (amount of chips you take to a single table) is two hundred dollars. You would have forty bets at five dollars each. You start by placing a five dollar bet. If you win, you let the five dollar bet ride. You now have a ten dollar bet on the table. If you win, you let the ten dollar bet ride. You now have a twenty dollar bet on the table. If you win, you clear the money from the table, and put the forty dollars in your pocket. You then draw five dollars from your original table kitty and start over again. You place a five dollar bets on the table and let it ride until you win the twenty dollar bet. Or lose a bet. In either case, you go back to the five dollar bets which you take from your original table kitty. With a two hundred dollar table kitty, you have forty bets. You will need six of those bets to ride to twenty dollars. Six out of forty is pretty good odds. Your profit will be forty dollars on a two hundred dollar table kitty. And there should be no shuffle-up because the dealer will see that you're letting it ride when ever you win not when the count is such and such. Work each table in the same way. A two hundred dollar table kitty will require a one thousand dollar total kitty so you can go to five tables. Only use the let it ride method when you're playing with the house’s money.
You will want to pick a table with as few people playing as possible. Minimum and maximum bets are posted at each table. The first ten times you play you should start with five dollar chips. Once you are able to easily keep the count, without missing a beat, you can move on to the bigger kitty. A kitty that fits your financial situation without creating a stressful situation. You want to be relaxed and well-practiced when you hit your first casino table. You need to take some time and search out single deck tables. You’ll want five single deck tables per casino. Remember this is a business. If you're doing it for fun: just stay at the same table until you lose all your money. Don’t play against a shoe and don’t play if there are fewer than five single deck tables. Play the game to win. And play the game to take home some additional income. If you’re on a trip with your family or friends enjoy all the attractions casinos have, but wait for another time to start your blackjack business. Don't start your blackjack business until you understand the concepts of this EZ Count book.
To buy in, place two one hundred dollar bills on the table ask for five dollar chips. The will slide forty red chips across the table to you. Now you are ready to begin your business.
