Oh Possum 
Oh Possum in the field of cotton
Old yellow dog he gave chase
Destroyed every acre when he caught
The old possum in the field of cotton
Bark here-Bark there 
Everywhere a bark or growl 
From both the dog and possum
Which is meaner or more of a man
I can’t say 
However, it all happened in the field of cotton
