Information is power; Knowledge is empowerment; Wisdom is ability to understand the difference between the two. ~ Emil C. Areton ~ Foreword I can still remember his barely contained zeal, stroking mankind’s penultimate quest for the ultimate truth: Is there life in the Universe? That’s what the late Carl Sagan was after as he enticed us to take a ride on his coattails around the deep and dark of the space projected on a large TV screen, looking askance and enlightened, while partaking in a virtual, TV couch, galactic roller-coaster. Indeed, is there life in the Universe? What question! There is an infinite number of galaxies in the Universe, each one presumptively containing some 100 billion stars lighting up numerous exoplanets of their own solar systems we have finally been able to prove exist. So, what is the statistical probability we were the only ones blessed with the right organic cocktail that made up that miracle breath of life? Theories abound, and every decade seems to produce a new take on the physicochemical reactions that kicked up the organics into high gear, leading to the phenomenal success of life on Earth. To discount life elsewhere in the Universe would be tantamount to saying that, inexplicably, there is a life-sustaining focal point in our galaxy, The Milky Way, whose structural setup divinely differs from the rest of them. Let me state this as a measure of what is to be introduced in depth further in this writing, that it is safe to base ourselves on the obvious, which is that since Universe is generally uniform, save for occasional differences in stages of development of some of its instrumentally observed far-off structures, it is therefore capable of supporting life throughout its vast entirety. Thus, life has inevitably developed in some form and fashion, based on available local resources, throughout all of the galaxies, prospered, and gave rise to an infinite number of human civilizations. And since the developmental stages of those civilizations vary as well, those technologically ahead of us have made contact with us in the past. Our own soil has in fact hosted numerous sojourns with extraterrestrial visitors. Furthermore, based on the research of the late UC Berkeley scientist, Allan Wilson, our civilization appeared on and colonized this planet only about 150,000 and no earlier than 200,000 years ago. It means that we were actually planted here around that time, in this form, and it was the work of none other than those same extraterrestrial humans. To me Wilson’s research is the epitome of the proverbial one-eyed among the blind. It is based on mitochondrial DNA mutation, and, like it or not, cleaned the slate for the real story of Homo sapiens evolutionary anthropology. Unfortunately, extraterrestrial visits of the past just don’t make it into history textbooks. The relevance of these events is slighted due to lack of tangible proof, and whatever evidence available is generally discredited as dubious, which, ipso facto, renders teaching of our history flawed and incomplete. On the other hand, if there is life in the Universe, naturally, question comes to mind: Why aren’t we all in touch with one another? Why aren’t they calling on us? And by extension of the same: How does life indeed operate on such a large scale? Is there any logical system to it? Is there a purpose? Is anyone at the wheel, steering life’s distribution in some purposeful way, following established principles serving that purpose? A god entity, perhaps? Let us begin with a bite of food for thought. Have you ever wondered why a modern nation like the United States would ever consider naming one of its pride and joy space shuttles—while there were still four of them, blissfully waxing the scope of our unsurpassed technological achievements—Atlantis? I was astonished to see the antediluvian continent whose claim to fame is nothing but a murky, waterlogged legend, bearing no direct, and most importantly, no official proof of its existence, honored by having its name inscribed on the distinguished, orbit-faring metal. And then again, maybe we are onto something here. In fact, National Geographic will know more about Atlantis than the U.S. government in the coming months—or years, depending on the expediency of procuring the funding—when it commences an expedition to Cuba’s southwestern tip, the Guanahacabibes Peninsula. There, the venerable mag is about to discover a true-to-form Atlantean city under 1,200 feet of water, replete with streets lined with pyramids and numerous other monolithic structures. And if the diving technology at their disposal manages to crack the site, they may even find a few artifacts of the astounding crystal technology left behind by the Milky Way elders who arrived here some 50,000 years ago from the central parts of our galaxy. The reason I mention Atlantis is because it represents our last substantial contact with the Milky Way humanity, a milestone in cooperative effort within our galactic community, lasting some 40,000 years. In that time the Atlantean society matured but ultimately became hopelessly polarized. Inability to resolve their differences brought destruction upon their land and society, using the extraterrestrial technology the Atlanteans, after having their finger on it throughout their existence, came to regard as their own. It was foolhardy, devious but ultimately planned course of action by the “dark side” of the Atlantean society, which in the end vanquished the “good side,” and prevailed. This event was in fact so profound that it forever changed the face of the Earth. Sinking—actually compressing—a continent-size landmass two miles deep into the Atlantic Ocean caused the infamous biblical flood in its wake, and elevated world oceans’ table by about 100 feet. But most importantly, it led to an 11,600-year and counting hiatus in visits by our Milky Way brethren. We, in the meantime, blissfully graced ourselves with flooding the rest of the planet with populace, and no soon enough, invented religion to control it. On the technical side, we devised a silicone-chip-based computer, got ourselves hooked on a destructive fossil-fuel-intensive energy and transportation, and lastly, developed a science whose intransigent mantra is: if I don’t see it, if I can’t reproduce it, it does not exist. Which brings me back to Carl Sagan. He meant well but could not prove otherwise. Universe is a big place, Carl. It is presently in its “teens” of billions of years of life, 13.7 by the latest estimate, and it is very much alive and growing. Life, Carl, just like matter, permeates the entire Universe. Introduction In 1984 I traveled to New Mexico for an Iridology conference where I met a person named Jan. We connected spiritually and spent one evening brainstorming esoteric subjects. We eventually ended up in Atlantis. She told me that she was an Atlantean reincarnant, and her lifelong work there was to deliver crystals throughout the Milky Way galaxy; no ordinary crystals, and by no ordinary means I should add, under the guidance of extraterrestrial visitors. She did so until something terrible happened, she did not know what, and she was left stranded there. Her engagement with the extraterrestrials ended and she died a premature, albeit natural death; premature, because she was supposed to have lived a few hundred Earth years. Her story ended up having quite an impact on me, and as I was soon to find out, it marked the beginning of a gradual transformation of my personal identity. First thing that happened to me was that over the course of the next three years her story grew in my mind into a sci-fi plot. Rather burdened by the expanse of this material, I put it down in a sci-fi novel entitled “The New Atlanteans.” The book practically wrote itself, especially toward the end, relentlessly driven by its characters and their profound if not abstruse knowledge that simply kept coming. As I wrote I began to feel that somehow I became the mind and the hands of someone’s higher purpose; that I was chosen to deliver an extraordinary piece of information I was to gracefully bestow upon all mankind. It was a lofty aspiration I soon realized would not translate into a wide-open front door to a New York publisher. But as I wrote I also realized something else. Like Jan, I too was an Atlantean reincarnant, and perhaps as a show of gratitude the entity or entities who put me in the position of conveying this story let me in on a personal revelation; a few key scenes from my own lifetime in Atlantis. I had learned that in my previous lifetime in Atlantis I was a man in charge of the Healing Temple in the city of Poseidia, actually quite an important position, with open access to the high priestess of Atlantean lands at the time of its destruction some 11,600 plus years ago. But the true value of their input was not my personal Atlantean stuff, but the smorgasbord of information I received as part of the plot twists and turns that dealt with the life in the Universe, how it is managed, how it evolves, what is its modus operandi, and particularly, what is its ultimate purpose. I believe that I have therefore been gifted some very profound answers to essential existential questions mankind has always craved and thus far has not been accorded. In 1980, a few years before all of this took place I participated in and was involved with the consciousness raising seminars. I took all of “Lifespring” seminars, assisted a few of them, and later took the “est” seminar as well. Simple as they were in their applied technology to expand the human consciousness, they nevertheless opened the gates to my awareness potential. Both seminars would eventually prove to be just the right medium at the right time to stoke me with the pertinent essential concepts I was later able to seamlessly incorporate into “The New Atlanteans” story. I am to this day grateful for the gifts of knowledge (as opposed to information) I have acquired by participating in these seminars, and amazed how they became the pieces of a puzzle, which, once properly positioned, composed the whole picture on a larger scale than I could have ever anticipated. The seminar trainings became a tool designed to elevate my awareness level as a prerequisite for the job of writing “The New Atlanteans,” as well as this work. Our 3rd dimensional world is nothing like the 4th dimensional one where 99.99999% of life resides, and it is generally impossible to straddle the boundary between the two. On the other hand, our civilization has produced a wealth of information on many different aspects of the subject, and if one looks carefully enough and melds it with the information I am proffering, the sum of all bits will gel and cross the information boundary into the knowledge territory. The learning process is a journey no smaller than the life itself. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Thank you for your interest in reading Life in the Universe.
