La misión de Read Conmigo es enriquecer el ambiente de aprendizaje para los niños, ofreciendo a los padres las herramientas y los recursos para fomentar el hábito de leer e inculcar el amor por la lectura. El regalo más valioso que le puede dar a un hijo es su tiempo. Leer juntos, en cualquier idioma, establece la base para un futuro con éxito. Los maestros saben que el apoyo y la participación de los padres ayudan a construir el camino para que los niños obtengan buenas calificaciones. Read Conmigo es un primer paso, simple, para el éxito. Go to sleep, my sleepy head. "Mommy, I can't," said Matteo.



A dormir, mi dormilón. "Mami, no puedo," dijo Matteo. 

Close your eyes and pretend that you are floating in the deep blue sky on a big, white, fluffy cloud. Birds fly around you and sing a quiet little song. Now, go to sleep, my sleepy head."Mommy, I can't." 



Cierra los ojos e imagina que flotas en un cielo azul sobre una gran nube blanca y suave. Los pajaritos vuelan a tú alrededor y te cantan una tierna melodía. Ahora, duerme, mi dormilón."Mami, no puedo." 

Close your eyes and pretend that you are in a boat gently rocking back and forth with each wave on the deep blue sea. 



Cierra tus ojitos e imagina que estás en un bote que se mece suavemente con el ir y venir de las olas del mar. 
Colorful fish swim around you like little rainbows that light up your dreams. Now, go to sleep, my sleepy head. "Mommy, I can't." 



Peces de colores nadan a tú alrededor creando pequeños arco iris que iluminan tus sueños. Ahora, duerme, mi dormilón."Mami, no puedo." 
Close your eyes and pretend that you are lying in a bed of spring flowers. The sweet smell and fresh breeze fill your dreams with perfumes. Now, go to sleep, my sleepy head. "Mommy, I can't." 



Cierra tus ojitos e imagina que estás acostado en una cama de flores primaverales. El dulce aroma y la brisa fresca llenan tus sueños con perfumes. Ahora, duerme, mi dormilón. "Mami, no puedo." 
Close your eyes and pretend that you are right here in your bed- warm and cozy, bundled up in a soft blanket-while Mommy hugs you and whispers sweetly. 



Cierra tus ojitos e imagina que estas aquí en tú cama-cómodo y abrigado, envuelto en tus cobijitas-mientras que Mami te abraza y te susurra palabras dulces. 
Now, go to sleep, my sleepy head, for you are very loved. Goodnight. 



Ahora, duerme, mi dormilón, pues eres muy querido. Buenas noches.

NATASHA BALSECA was born in Fairfax, VA. At age 16, her family moved to Quito, Ecuador. Today, she lives in Alpharetta, Georgia with her husband Fabricio and two sons. She is an educator with a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education.  She enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her family. Both her sons, Nico and Matteo inspire her to write. This book is her second contribution to the Monarca Press Series of children's books. 

DANA BARKHOUSER DANIEL was born in Atlanta, GA and currently lives in beautiful South Florida with her husband and two children. She has a BA in Art from the University of GA. After a career in graphic design, she became a full-time mom. Her children, Zack and Leah, always inspire her to draw and be creative. Reading has been a large part of Dana's life from a very young age, and her hope is that every child can enjoy the gift of a good book. This is the first children's book that Dana has illustrated.
