Post-WW II Russia's only aircraft exports were to communist allies and in particular China who initially produced Soviet MiG-15 and Tupolev Tu-16 bombers and later reverse-engineered these and the MiG-21. Russian exports' to other nations did not occur until proper certification procedures were established by Aviaexport and airplanes were supplied with proper documentation and manuals and support.
