At Broken Hill on New Years Day, 1915, two Afghani men fired on a train carrying a group of people travelling to a picnic. A number of these holiday-makers were killed or injured. The Afghani men fled to a spot known as the White Rocks, where they, in turn, were fired on by the citizens of Broken Hill. One, Mullah was killed there.
