The Slaughter Of An NYU Graduate Student Greenwich Village New York City February 1955
by Robert Grey Reynolds, Jr
24-year-old Herta Payson found the lifeless corpse of Ann Yarrow, an honors student at NYU. She leant her small apartment to Yarrow while she spent time traveling to S. Carolina. The murder was shocking in its starkness to veteran policemen who were used to homicide cases. The murder case was front page headlines for several months. I have used newspapers and ancestry records to complete my book.
