After passing from a life of pessimism and a cynical outlook, George Campton rudely awakens to the afterlife and finds himself designated as a "slip-in" - an angel in the rough. He has "charges" to watch over, but he finds himself obsessed with his favorite, Kathryn, thinking she is much like his former wife, Sarah. He crosses the line and into the physical realm and murders her boyfriend.
