The original air arm was the Royal Khmer Aviation, becoming Aviation Nationale Khmer in 1954. During the Vietnam War Cambodia 'kept all it balls in the air' the Prince trusting only the French and switching his alliance regularly to other nations such as China, the Soviets the US and back to France. The Khmer Rouge took power in 1975. Today the country is known as Cambodia again without an AF!
