When Israel realized it was in danger of attack from Iraq once its nuclear reactor was commissioned it was decided that the IDF/AF should train to bomb the facility that was still under construction. When Operation Opera' was launched the IDF/AF premier strike plane was the F-4 Phantom II but it was 8 GD F-16s each with 2 2,000lb bombs escorted by F-15A Eagles that did the job with 100% success.
