I was just a country boy from Alabama when in 1967 I was drafted into the army. After my training my permanent duty assignment was The Third Infantry, The Old Guard. The things I would see would shape my life forever. I saw three presidents was at ones inaguration ones deprture and the funeral of another. I saw the inside of the White house, read the words of Abraham Loncoln.
