Contemplation and Curiosity
In this short story, the narrator escapes to his office on Christmas Day to find a wooden box with the word Pandora burned on the lid. He’s curious about what’s in the box, and yet he’s hesitant to open it. Does it contain disease, sickness, hate, envy, and all other evils as the Greek myth holds? Of course not, but why would someone put the box on his desk?
