Bachems BA 349 Natter (Viper) although not successful with only 50 built was one of Hitler's 'Super Weapons' that would save the Third Reich from defeat albeit it had a tortuous development and little interest was shown by the RLM Bachem approached SS Gen Himmler who supported the project at first but then grew tired of it. Bachem continued and gained Hitler's support to attack Allied bombers
