She returns to Parksville to identify the bodies of her parents, the apparent victims of a fatal car crash. Appearances aren’t everything, though. After some surprising twists and turns down some fruitless trails, local detectives unmask her parents’ murderer. This is an engaging mystery, set in the lovely but remote towns of Tofino and Parksville on Vancouver Island.
