This two-sided action and adventure story is set during the twentieth century on an island caught between two warring countries.

Based on that island was: Major Chris James, the commander of a night fighter squadron named: ‘The Devil’s Deal’. His unit became a constant thorn in the side of the enemy bomber groups, forcing their opponents to devise a plan for invasion.

Set-up by well meaning friends, Chris James was to meet an outstanding woman: Major Diane Forbes, Chief of Nursing at the island’s new hospital. Their intense liaison seemed to have great possibilities from the outset, but things took an unexpected turn when his squadron was assigned a deadly new task.

Their orders were to intercept an aerial armada carrying hundreds of paratroopers determined to capture this strategic island’s airfield. With only a handful of Marines to defend its perimeter, their chances for success seemed slim.
