This book was a gift form K.B. Miller from right here on Smashwords.

I am so happy that I got to read this amazing book, I loved it, and every part!! I thought Lily has a great main character in the story. She is strong, brave, and loves fashion :) At first I just thought "ugh not anouther girlie girl" LOL but in away I like her for it. I fell in love with the whole Moon family, I felt like they were my brothers, sisters, and so on. I loved that about this book. I like to be able to feel the things that the author is writing about, and K.B. did that!! Mason? We could talk all day about Mason :) At the beginning of the story, when Lily first spotted him at the Coffee Shop he was very creepy, but with the first words out of his mouth I think I was in love! Not to mention he like John Wayne, that right there stole my heart. I am glad that I read Haunted Moon first and got a better look at Granny. I recomend this seires to everyone, so please show K.B. some love and suport and read/review this book. She has done an amazing job!

I just finished Compulsion and I absolutely loved it!!!!!!!!! It has just the right combination of supernatural and love story.

Not just boyfriend girlfriend love but love for family. I, like Lily Moon, can sometimes be driven crazy by my family but I wouldn't trade any of them for the world.

I enjoyed the story of the Moon family's destiny and can't wait to find out how it ends for Lily and her coven.

I love the whole family. They are all pretty bad ass in their own way and bring strength to the coven. Hope to read some romance for them too in the coming book/books.

Witches and the Craft I think will be my new obsession...but it's a good thing the vampires are also present. They'll always be a fave to read about. Lol.

Download and read this TODAY. you won't regret it. :-)

I purchased a copy of the book when it was first release. I later found out that the author was working on a revised version of the book, so I decided to wait and read it when it was re-released. I was given a copy of the re-released version in exchange for my honest review.

This copy has been re-edited and has had some extras throw in. I did notice a few editing errors, but in no way did it take away from the story. Lilyann is living the average life of juggling school, work, shopping, and getting over a bad boyfriend choice, while staying pumped by her favorite coffees. That is until the day that she gets a call that her grandmother has passed away. She returns home not knowing that this event will change her life in more ways than she ever expected. Not only had her grandmother passed away, but it turns out that it was no accident and that her and most of her family have been kept in the dark from the truth of who her grandmother really was....a witch. Now Lilly and her family have to step up and take their place in the world of magick and the supernatural with nothing to guide them, but last letters from her grandmother and a few books. Will the information they have, and the strength of the family combined be enough to prepare the Moon Coven for the battle of their lives?

A great YA read filled with magick, suspense, love, family, vampires, ghosts, and few extras. I can't wait to read about the Moon Covens next magical journey.

Although the new cover of “Compulsion” isn’t really my taste, the blurb did entice me to sit down and see what the story is all about.

I finished the book in no time, as the author’s writing is very simplistic and uncomplicated. She takes you into the lives of likeable characters who each discover their powers, grow as persons trough out the book; and a family whose bonds strengthen as they work together to face the dangers that threaten their lives and their very existence as a coven.

The author isn’t sparse with details on the characters’ every move, emotions and their surroundings which allow the reader to experience the warmth and closeness of the Moon clan firsthand. Lily, the main character, has a personality perfectly suited for the role she is given to defend her coven. She is strong, assertive and brave, but at times also emotionally vulnerable. Mason, who would give his life in a heartbeat to protect Lily, is every girl’s dream guy, and by himself a great reason to grab and devour this book. My favourite of course was Izzy the cat!

“Compulsion” is Kymberlee Burkes-Miller’s debut novel and is an enjoyable, easy read which will appeal to the imagination of young adults across the spectrum. After finishing the last chapter of this magical book, the reader is left eagerly anticipating the release of the author’s next novel in this series.

ARC for Review. I LOVE THIS BOOK!! An awesome tale of self-discovery and young love!

I was given the opportunity to Read~N~Review this book… OMGosh I loved this amazing self-discovery read!

Vampires, Witchs’ and Ghosts ~ OMy! Lily Moon’s family has a secret ~ one that could get her killed!

WOW! What a wonderful story. Lily Moon has a destiny to fulfill, one that is unknown to her until a beloved family member passes. I really identified with this character in that, I lost my mom at age 12. The physical pain she feels, just made me love her more.

Kymberlee has created a compelling world of self-discovery, self-confidence, first love, family secrets, and coming to terms with responsibility and one’s own destiny.

The characters are well developed, believable, lovable and yes, even some I love to hate! Imagine yourself surrounded by vampires out for your blood! Would you stay and fight?

Suspense and mystery kept me flipping pages on my phone, I had to know what was gunna happen next. Her twist on vampires is refreshing and the way she describes Mason, M~M~M!!!

The humor within had me smiling to myself a lot!

I recommend this for all YA Readers out there, this is an awesome twist to the Paranormal Read.

Compulsion is a novel enchanted by the imagination of a wonderfully magical author. There are many good things I could tell you about both this author and about this paranormal romance. But because there is only so much time in the world, I will stick with my top three reasons for loving this novel. And as I am a list girl (just look at the title of my blog and page) I've compiled a list.
1: This one is simple. My main reason for liking this novel is the characters that Miller has created. Lily is a fun character with quite a fierce personality. She has character flaws, as a good character should, but she is also very lovable. Mainly, she as well as the other characters in this story are realistic, and far from the idealized perception of perfection. She's selfless, gorgeous, overly loving and outspoken at times. But she is also extremely stubborn, unaware of her own potential, and to a point, her selflessness and strong will could potentially hinder her. These qualities will only make you love her more.

Throughout the novel we get to see this 21 year old grow into herself and into her capabilities. And she isn't the only one. Reading about the Moon family was an experience that make me laugh, gasp, and read the story page after page. From Ciaran to Rionna, the twelve young people of the Moon clan will draw you in. Besides her family, the events that occur with Lily's best friend Cam turned out to be a shocker, and Mason, the handsome paranormal in Lily's life, will make you salivate and daydream about someone like him being destined for you. I did, and for those of you that happen to live on the Eastern shore of Maryland, as I do, the story will entice you even more as Lily's adventures take her in locations recognizable, much like many of David Levithan and Rachel Cohn's books do for New Yorkers. Few books have done this for me- in fact I have a four book list of books I've read set in my location.
Rambling over (which is a quality I happen to share with Compulsion's herione), I'll move onto the 2nd reason I loved reading Compulsion.

2: The writing. I mean this seriously, and I'll be brief but my number two reason for liking Compulsion is the style with with Kymberlee writes. The writing is light and fun. It is written in Lily's POV, and it makes me think of her actually telling us the story of what happens in her life piece by piece. So as days pass it seems to me like she is describing the events of her day all at one time, day by day. This is actually amazingly effective because Miller's way of making it seem like Lily is talking to the reader made me feel like an unspoken character in her journey. She writes Lily's words the way a young female would talk to someone close. This made me feel the happiness Lily felt, the sadness she felt, and understand her decisions even if they were decisions I wouldn't agree with.

3. The last of my top three reasons for loving Compulsion is the plot and the way in which the storyline played out. Seems simple, right? Every book has a plot. The difference is how it is written. Now I obviously can't tell you guys the plot. That would spoil the story, but just know it is a story filled with intrigue, twists, and an underlying humor. There is love that is both unfamiliar and familiar to us, the paranormal romance that we'll not be able to experience (unless, you know something I don't) and the familial love we feel for those we care most for. There is anger, and resentment, sadness and hate, happiness and forgiveness. This story is one filled with the magical aspects many humans don't believe in but also filled with the huge range of feelings many of us believe make a person human. I am hoping for a second to this novel as the first hinted that another could come.

There you have it. That's my list. I think it's obvious that in my opinion this captivating novel is a must read. In the end, one of the best things I can say about Compulsion is that it will indeed compel you. So, brava to Kymberlee Burks-Miller. She not only weaved a completely lovable novel, but she picked the perfect title for the book. Who knows? Maybe the person meant to be compelled WAS in fact the reader.

Happy Reading everyone.
I give Compulsion a 4.5/ 5 stars.

and to end with the witch's greeting,

Merry part and Merry meet again.

This book is about Lilyann Moon, when her grandmother dies out of the blue, and under suspicious circumstances she tries to make sense of it all. With eleven younger members of the family, she and everyone else are set to make a discovery that will change their lives forever. When items left in her grandmothers will start to make them all question why their grandmother left them. After struggling to deal with everything that has happened Lily returns to her grandmothers home where she discovers the mystery behind the items her grandmother left everyone. Now she has to deal with her family members, and explain to them that she and the rest of them are witches, and they are the strongest coven to exist. The whole family have to learn fast to use their powers as the paranormal world is closing in on them, and they are being hunted by vampires leaving the whole family at risk of being killed if they don't manage to get everything sorted in time. During this period she meets Mason and everything in her personal life changes, but will the secrets he hides and her family be in danger and will they accept him?
From the very start of this book i was captivated by the characters, and the storyline. The scenes with Lily's grandmother will reading were emotional and heart felt drawing the reader into the world and making sure you wanted to stay there. I loved Lily's character and felt like i was going through every emotion she felt with her, especially when it came to her family, friends and Mason. The coven dynamics were amazing and the in depth knowledge for the spells and rituals was well written and researched, leaving the reader believing that when they are performed they would work out. Each family member had their own quirks and were individual, making me laugh at times and want to cry at others. In all i really like this young adult paranormal fiction book and would recommend it to readers who enjoy reading that genre. So all credit goes to Kymberlee in her writing and i cant wait for the next instalment to be released to find our where Lily is going next.

I enjoyed reading Compulsion very much. I finished it in about 3 hours. I found all of the characters to be engaging and interesting particularly Lily. I understood why she got angry with Mason but when she finally forgave him I cheered. Dax and his brother were so wicked but they served their purpose of making the story exciting for the reader. I am seriously hoping that there will be a sequel so I can get more of Mason and the rest of the Moon clan. I also want to see what Dax has planned next.

Hi y'all Anne here and I've just finished reading this fun and interesting story Compulsion by Kymberlee Burks-Miller and let me tell you what a fun read this was. Kymberlee has taken a tale and combined witches, vampires, and ghosts and thrown in some top notch action and heated passion to come up with this story. The story is great and intriguing, from page one the author lures you in with twists in the story and dangles details in front of your face to keep you constantly turning pages. Her attention to detail is amazing considering the amount of characters she is bringing to life in this book. She brings each character to life, and describes their purpose and their individuality to the story as it unfolds. The main characters are beautiful and passionate, they walk the story along from sweet into passionate, from suspenseful into breath taking. I really enjoyed the details in which the witches were described, it made the events and people seem so there and in your face. Everyone can find a character in this book to relate to, if your quirky, fun, sassy, strong, weak, unsure, or just you, you'll find a character in here to fall in love with. Speaking of love lets dip into this preordained connection between Lily and Mason, their love is quick and deep but never faltering. They love with their whole heart and it shows in their protectiveness and passion for not only their selves but the new coven and extended family. I adored the pace of this book it was fun and easy to delve into, get lost in the story of love, magick, and history. I highly recommend this book to any and everyone that enjoys a great paranormal read. 5 out of 5 stars for Compulsion by Kymberlee Burks-Miller I can't wait for book 2 in the series.

I want to start off by saying, OMG!!! I loved this book!! Okay now having said that I'll tell you why, lol! xD Truthfully, this is the first book I have ever read about a witch/witches. So why would I read it if it wasn't my genre of choice? … Well after reading the synopsis, I had to. ;)
When Kymberlee asked me to review it for her. I said, YES!! I was already into it but to be able to review it for the author was an Awesome Surprise!!
I was compelled to read it after the synopsis but was completely bewitched by Kymberlee's style of writing. She's a truly talented writer. I fell in love with the main character Lilyann just as there was growth in her. Reading that and experiencing it thru Kymberlee's writing made me to tear up. Maybe I'm just a sap but when someone's writing moves you and in the SECOND chapter, I think it's a sign that you're in for a good ride! And that's exactly what I got!
We read Compulsion thru Lilyann Moon's POV which I truly adored. She's feisty, funny, loyal, loving and courageous. It's Lilyann's responsibility to not only learn how to become a powerful witch but to protect her entire family all at the same time that she is starting a relationship.
There are many things happening in the story but Kymberlee set the perfect pace. There was nothing lacking from the storyline; love, mystery, action, drama and plenty of twists that take you by surprise. It was a perfect beginning to a series that I'll be awaiting the next installment of.
I don't like spoilers so that was why I didn't go into detail.
