I am the author of the Kendrick Chronicles crime novels series. The first two books, Bone Machines and Kali's Kiss are available as audiobooks, narrated by Robin Sachs, from Blackstone Audio, Inc. Bone Machines is also available on Smashwords (from JustImagineIt Ink). My stories have appeared in print, online and in podcast form, including in: "Breaking Windows: A Fantastic Metropolis Sampler (Prime Books); "Shorts V" (Polygon); The Horror Express Magazine; and the Pseudopod, StarshipSofa and Crimewav podcasts. My anthology of historical/paranormal/romance and erotica, Warriors and Wenches has been published by Melange Books, USA (under a pseudonym, JT Macleod - available through Smashwords and other retailers).

'Dr. North's Wound and Other Stories' is an excellent, engrossing, often chilling read. The first story 'Dr. North's Wound' has a "Hawthorne-ian" feel. It had a very dark humanity. However, it was the second story in the collection, 'A Crow Among the Starlings' that established the book for me. It was terrifying in its calm delivery and transformation of an ordinary man.

John Dodds is a serendipitous discovery.

These stories continue to show off the excellent writing and storytelling I have come to expect from John Dodds, sending icy prickles down the spine of ordinary events.... Don't miss these stories...Cheryl Stevenson
