Jonathan lives on the south coast of England. Many of his short stories are inspired by the people who choose to live beside the sea. Mixed into this are elements of fantasy, occasionally horror.
The Russian White, his Victorian thriller, was written when he lived in London. On cold clear mornings, as the fog rises from the River Thames and seeps into the narrow alleys and by-ways, it is easy to imagine this city over a hundred and fifty years ago.

The writing definitely has an English "feel" to it, in a very good way. Love the style, has an undertone of sharp wit - reminds me of Jeffrey Archer. My favorite story was Two Blue Doors, because it could have been another same-oh story but the writing made the reading really fun, you'll rethink "seaweed".
Price-wise, great price for an entertaining read. I'll probably re-read the stories again another day, with another cup of tea, that is how much I enjoyed the author's style.
Yes, I would look out for more of this author's works.
