Jonathan lives on the south coast of England.
Many of his short stories are inspired by the people who choose to live beside the sea. They include elements of fantasy, horror, humour and malice. Dark Reunion: Twenty Short Stories is a compilation of all his published short stories.
The Russian White, his Victorian thriller, was written when he lived in London. On cold clear mornings as the fog rises over the River Thames and seeps into the narrow alleys and shadowy by-ways, the city of over one hundred and fifty years ago can be glimpsed once more and the atmosphere evoked.
Running Before The Midnight Bell is an urban crime thriller. Hastings and St Leonards-on-Sea on the south coast of England are the backdrops to a series of murders targeted against vulnerable members of a particular community. Detective Chief Inspector Anthony Nemo struggles with the case as long-held secrets are slowly revealed: unaware that he too is being stalked by the killer.

The writing definitely has an English "feel" to it, in a very good way. Love the style, has an undertone of sharp wit - reminds me of Jeffrey Archer. My favorite story was Two Blue Doors, because it could have been another same-oh story but the writing made the reading really fun, you'll rethink "seaweed".
Price-wise, great price for an entertaining read. I'll probably re-read the stories again another day, with another cup of tea, that is how much I enjoyed the author's style.
Yes, I would look out for more of this author's works.
