Great book! I'm a Mutt Person myself, but anyone who truly loves dogs as the wonderful furpanions they are and not merely a Status Symbol is fantabulous in my opinion! I had my own Robo and my own Drama Queen and, oh, how I love reading about these critters!

Oh, and the storyline is good too! :) I'm so disappointed not to find more of these stories!! Where are the Rottie mysteries, Ms O'Connell?!!! Four Muttpanions and I are waiting!!

I sure learned a lot about dogs, people who own dogs and it made it interesting as I am someone who has not been at ease around dogs, especially large ones. I enjoyed the mystery line as well as the descriptions of the people and enjoyed the plot. It was not a way-out there plot, but plausible.... that I like. OK, Ellen O'Connell, I am ready for more.

Well written mystery with a solid plot and great character development that includes the rottweilers.

The author uses real knowledge of dogs and dog shows to keep the plot realistic and moving without getting bogged down in details.

Excellent look at rescue work shown with care and subtlety.

I hope Ms.O'Connell continues this as a series.

I am not very good writing but I'll try. I've liked the book (and the main characters) a lot. I think it's very well plotted, with a lovely characters, good inside into dog rescue and not focus on the hard side of that rescue.

If you like cozy mystery, no-nonsense heroines and lovely dogs, I think you'll like it a lot.

Folks, In my Review of this book I made the mistake of forgetting to add a Rating,

Smashwords made the mistake of not making 10 Stars available, If they had, I'd have given the book 11/10

and since my review all 3 members of the family have read the book, We all rate it our Favourite Dog Tale, Ever ....

And one of our ALL TIME FAVOURITE BOOKS,

I Really can't find anything negative to say ....

Other than WHEN will book 2 be ready Ellen, I hate waiting!

“Write about what you know”

Well that’s what they say right?

Just how hated and misunderstood are Rottweillers as a breed of dog,

Who would be sensitive enough to write about them, without being a gushing bleeding heart, with tunnel vision?

Would it be someone who really new dogs, had experience of breeding, showing, rescuing, and finding foster or adopting homes for dogs in desperate need,

Would it be someone showing a real love and understanding for a breed feared by so many?

Now as well as a Doggy Tale, who can pen a really absorbing murder mystery, and set it in a very specific world.

Then can our author put in twists and turns?

And can they wrap all this up neatly and succinctly

With a really, really strong Female main character and two dogs as the hero’s

Well read Rottweiler Rescue: a mystery for dog lovers by Ellen O'Connell

And find out for your self,

I doubt you would be disappointed,
