Extended description

Book 2 in the Little Town series. At first glance, the small mountain settlement of Mount Big Town, or ‘Little Town’ as the locals call it, seems to be a pleasant and peaceful rural haven. Senior Constable Tess Fuller and Sergeant Finn Maguire know better though, kept fully occupied trying to maintain some law and order in a town dominated by the huge feral Bycraft family. Can they recapture fugitive Red Bycraft before he makes good on his threat to hunt down Tess? And what is it exactly that those bikies are up to at their secret retreat and can Tess convince the Sarge that the only way to find out is to throw away the rule book?

One of the best series I have ever read. A humorous and touching insight into small town life, with loads of fighting and, er, loving.

This was a fun read. Ms. Nixon's characters are well-drawn, entertaining, and memorable; this is especially true of the hilariously crude Fiona. If you haven't read JD Nixon before, start now.

Totally engaging book. Kept me reading non-stop - had to make sure that Tessa stayed alive. The Australian references were fun - even looked up what tim tams were. Starting to read the Heller series next!

Stumbled upon this site, as well as the first book in this series and I was HOOKED! The author really draws you in - I think one of the best parts is the detailed personalities of the characters. I read all the author's books in a matter of days and can't wait for more to come out. Dear JD Nixon, Please write faster. Thanks, A new fan

JD Nixon's "Blood Ties" and "Blood Sport" are the first 2 books in her Little Town series, and I can hardly wait for her 3rd one coming out in a few months. The story and characters are addictive. Love them or hate them, Ms. Nixon weaves unique personalities that capture the reader's imagination. I absolutely loved these books.

JD Nixon continues to write one great book after another; I have read all her books and I dearly enjoy reading about Tessie, the Sarge and or course who could ever forget about the Super (Fiona)... her foul mouth and hard-ass persona will cause you to pause from reading to catch your breath from laughing. I love Litte Town and it's characters; don't like the hillbilly Bycrafts though, what a mean bunch of uncivilized savages they are... JD, ya gotta hook up the Sarge with Tessie :) although the reader can see the chemistry there and I think that's where it's heading (I hope). Besides a great few laughs, it's a very good suspense. There is an issue of bikers that rape young girls and it's a tad bit hard to read emotionally, but, it's a fact of life unfortunately. I don't want to spoil anything here so you're just going to have to read it yourself ha. Almost 400 pages...excellent, excellent book, can't wait for the next one. 5 Stars for sure. Congratulations JD on another well written, well edited novel.... Ronnie
