Inside Planet Kitchen Table, readers will find crowd-pleasing appetizers, novel breakfast and brunch menus in which fresh fruit and vegetables often take center stage, and a variety of soups. The entrée section is devoted to the pescatarian diet; a smaller portion of the book features meat, chicken, and pork dishes (reflecting Dunnington’s opinion about the environmental impact meat has on the planet). Vegetarian readers will love the chapters devoted to cold and warm garden greenery dishes. Irresistible recipes for breads, biscuits, rolls and sweet endings will become household favorites.

I have been cooking at home and professionally for almost 30 years. Planet Kitchen Table has been a refreshing and fun cook book to use, easy to read with sufficient details so that recipes are simple to follow. I especially like how the book is set up, with planning and definitions up front followed by a vast variety of carefully explained dishes. Many classic dishes like artichokes and new dishes too. It reminds me of "the joy of cooking" but with a modern twist using newer, local and organic ingredients. You can tell that the author has been around a kitchen and knows how to explain entertaining too.
