A short story by John Grover.
They've stolen her youth, her looks, her vitality. Her children have even driven away the love of her life. They're demanding, unrelenting. She's let them walk all over her. It's time she dealt with the children.
This story is a work of flash fiction, less than 1,000 words and is meant as a sampler of the author's work.
They demand her attention every moment. Unrelenting, unforgiving. They've stolen her youth, her looks, her vitality. She feels empty, tired, a life without purpose only to serve their every need. It's time she dealt with the children.
They've even driven away the love of her life. Perhaps he'll return to her once he's seen that she's dealt with the children.
Motherhood was first published under the title "The Mute People" in Flesh and Blood magazine issue 14 and is considered a work of flash fiction or a vss-very short story. It is less than 1,000 words and sure to give you a quick jolt of horror you won't soon forget.
It is meant as sampler of the author's work.
