Short description

Unlike ants themselves, ant communication is no small matter. These tiny creatures have a very sophisticated communication system, and communication drives every facet of their society much like it drives every part of our society. This book presents a fascinating view of the science of ant communication. Bonus: Both general interest and technical versions are included as two-books-in-one.

Extended description

Unlike ants themselves, ant communication is no small matter. These tiny creatures have a very sophisticated communication system, and communication drives every facet of their society much like it drives every part of our society. This book presents a fascinating view of the science of ant communication.

This book has been reviewed by Dr. Paul Mazzocchi, who calls it a "...beautiful essay on ant pheromones. It is well worth reading as an example of the complexity of the animal world and the interdependence of behavior and chemistry, the world of chemical ecology".

Bonus: Both general interest and technical versions are included as two-books-in-one.

I accidently stumbled upon this ebook last weekend and I finally had a chance to finish reading it last night.

I normally can't read more than 4-5 pages of ANY book before I start dozing off. Not so with this book.

Quite an enjoyable read!

Pamela has done a great job in communicating the ants' communication sceince in a plain language.

Its fascinating to see how much similarity is there between ants and humans when it comes to day-to-day communications.
