Extended description

Link Dixon is a Dallas police detective when his stormy marriage ends with his wife's death in a car crash. Link and his son, Jason, move back to Link's hometown southwest of Fort Worth into a Victorian home Link inherited from his grandmother. Link hopes being surrounded by extended family in a wholesome atmosphere will he good for Jason and bring a smile back to the solemn boy's face. Link takes a cut in pay and stature to take a job on night patrol for the sheriff's department.

What Link hadn't counted on are the changes in what he thought of as an idyllic small town. His mistake is driven home when he's recruited as an undercover man for the DEA. There may be a leak in the sheriff's department, which has already resulted in one murder. Before long, Link falls victim and is framed for murders and corruption. Can he prove his innocence?

WOW! This book "grabbed" me and had my attention from beginning to end! Can't wait for the sequel. Having worked in law enforcement, I found the characters totally believable! I will recommend this book to all my friends!
