Review by: Marc Mordey on March 08, 2012 :
Slick Deals represents quite a departure for Helen Carey (I have read - and loved - her WW2 series Lavender Road et al)but for me it is a welcome departure - this book kicks off in Monaco, moves to London and ends up in a beautiful part of Wales (I know because I live there!)If you lke Dick Francis, Ben Elton and Kate Atkinson then I think you will find some of the characterisitics of these writers, but written in the author's own unique voice. Oil, environmental issues, the threat to marine life all figure in an exciting, suspenseful and witty combination of adventure and intrigue.
