Canada - When The Lights Go Out

Rated 3.67/5 based on 3 reviews
Touring Ontario and parts of Quebec in Canada provide a life experience that is not easily forgotten - particularly when you are caught up in a blackout the likes of which North America hasn't seen before.
This is a light hearted diary style entry of the daily events as they occurred. Think of Bill Bryson and his quirky take, but mix in with that, a healthy dose of female ditziness. More

About Davina Penny

Davina Penny is a 47 year old English lass, now living on the South Island of New Zealand. She has swapped life in the fast lane for life in earthquake hit Christchurch, but wouldn't swap back for anything.

Currently she is working as a wildlife park tour guide, but in her spare time enjoys photography (never short of scenery in New Zealand) as well as tarot reading. She has been a tarot reader for 15 years and hopes one day to create her own deck, but as she has the artistic ability of a gnat with epilepsy, that remains a dream for the foreseeable future.

If her two recently published books go down well, she may well persuade her fiancee to undertake a tour of the Southern Hemisphere in order to pen yet another offering.

As free books go, this isn't a bad read. Some of her word pictures were well written.

I really enjoyed this travelogue. Having travelled to Canada on a few occasions and visited many of the places mentioned, I could relate to most of the experiences. If you want to read about things to do before visiting, this is ideal reading.
Light hearted and humourous, and full of good advice - and its free - what more could you want.
Davina, thanks for sharing your experiences - I look forward to more of your journeys.
