Back in 2009, I was laid off just as the economy began to slip into one of the worst recessions the United States has ever seen. I spent two years looking for work, sending out hundreds of résumés, attending multiple networking groups, meeting with job-search and HR professionals, and reading multiple books on ways to perform a successful job hunt.

This book is a result of my own successful job search, and the successful job searches of my friends and networking acquaintances. It contains over 100 pages of new material, based on my job search essay “Try Everything,” which has accumulated over 1,000 hits, and positive comments from job seekers and HR professionals alike.
