Tinney Heath's first literary love is historical fiction, but fantasy is not far behind. Her historical interests can best be described as Dantecentric (if Dante lived it, wrote about it, or consigned it to the Inferno, it's fair game), but fantasy can take her anywhere.
She and her husband live in Madison, Wisconsin, where they play a lot of medieval and early Renaissance music on (in ascending decibel levels) recorders, crumhorns, portative organ, and shawms. She loves to travel to Italy for research (not to mention art, music, and pasta). She has a degree in journalism, and finds that while "who, what, when, where, why, and how" are still vital questions for her, "what if" has muscled its way in and taken its rightful place in the pantheon.

This little story has something of everything: humor, sorrow, suspense, and a true touch of horror that reminds the reader how horrible people could be to each other. Most of all, and best, it has a wonderfully surprising and yet perfectly fitting ending such as every writer would love to be able to achieve. In the ending is the story, and all that comes before is the setting and circumstances that make it resonate in the soul.
