Being a new reader to Regan Black's series, I found the book gripping and a great continuation of the short story that intrigued me to read it in the first place.
The book is set at a good pace, the characters and plot are well rounded and I enjoyed reading it and suggesting it to others.
I like Mira and I think that if I were the character I would be as intrigued with finding more out about myself as she was and also exploring what her powers could grow into and also reconnecting with her father and mother was a bonus.

Shadows to Light is an excellent addition to Ms. Black's 2096 collection and a fully satisfying stand-alone novel.
Mira isn't your average nurse - she's a woman blessed with a healing gift shared by few others. When an unknown enemy decides her abilities are too valuable to ignore, Mira finds herself in over her head.
Jameson is good at his job - blending in, hunting down the bad guys. But when the woman he never forgot shows up in the middle of his latest stakeout, Jameson finds his ability to close the case mattering more than ever.
Ms. Black has delivered another thrilling urban adventure with all of the intrigues, humor, and passion she's known for. A stunning cast, layered plot, and imaginative universe make Shadows to Light a book you'll be unable to put down.
