This story came alive for me. The main character was well-drawn. The setting was interesting. Usually I reject a first person singular without a look, but used here in this short piece, it made it immediate. I would read more by this writer.

This was fun. It helps that I play the bass of course but I think any romance fan will like it. There are others by this author...hmm.

I liked it - I didn't expect to either. It's the kind of story that makes you feel good about things even when the romance isn't happening to you (or me anyway!).
