Short description

Great American Myths is a must read for Americans who have been systematically conditioned to believe lie after lie, myth after myth, many against their own self interest. The book briefly explores human perception and how it is used to manipulate and misdirect, then provides a common sense discussion of some of the prevalent myths impacting America today.

Extended description

Americans have been conditioned like Pavlov’s dog to accept lie after lie, myth after myth, all the while maintaining an aura of educated sophistication and superiority. These modern myths are used to direct and misdirect our daily lives, for whom we vote, what our children learn, what we earn, how we invest, and even who lives and dies.
Great American Myths explores human perception and how it is used to create and sell modern propaganda. This orientation is then used to investigate key myths in economics, government, personal affairs, and junk science in direct, common sense terms. In addition, the book introduces the concept of the MeMyth as the primary threat to traditional American values and exceptionalism.
Great American Myths is key reading to understand how to identify and counter the lies that are exploding in today’s volatile election environment that will ultimately determine the future of the Republic.

Great American Myths is a wonderful book for me to have read. I agree with the author completely on his books explanations of the numerous myths and lies that our American Culture has to deal with in 2012. I agree with every word and premise the author puts forward in this book to counter the myths and lies. This book is extremely well written with numerous references to support his positions. I feel a great emotional relief reading this book as others will knowing that the author has put into words what a lot of us are longing for someone to put forward to counter this barrage of subversive attacks on our great USA that has been evolving for so long. I hope this book gets a large circulation ASAP to enable many to become well informed by this author's pen.
