About Kris Tualla

Kris Tualla, a dynamic award-winning and internationally published author of historical romances, writes with a fast-paced and succinct style. Her plots are full of twists, passion, and very satisfying outcomes! Kris started in 2006 with nothing but a nugget of a character in mind, and has created a dynasty with The Hansen Series and The Discreet Gentleman Series. Norway is the new Scotland!

Kris is an active member of Romance Writers of America, the Historical Novel Society, and Sisters in Crime. She is an enthusiastic speaker and teacher, and created Arizona Dreamin' - Arizona's first romance-reader event: ArizonaDreaminEvent.com - and it's author-focused companion: BuildintheDream.com

"In the Historical Romance genre, there have been literally countless kilted warrior stories told. Well, I say it's time for a new breed of heroes! Come along with me and find out why: Norway IS the new Scotland!"

Big, blond, buff and beautiful men, with eyes the colors of seawater, and the wild, untamable blood of their Viking ancestors flowing through their veins. Do you feel it? The Hansen Men of Arendal, Norway - whose stories extend from post-plague Europe in 1354 through the 1840s American western expansion - are just such heroes.

While the book wasn't much about plotting or character development, it was about what is becoming SO important in the current market - what happens after the final key stroke has been approved.

Yep. Marketing both the author and the book/series.

Great tool to keep by the keyboard to keep the faith when all is finally said and done.

Waste of time and money. Nothing new. Juvenile, vapid style - like something a bored housewife might write.

This was such a great book. Very informative but kept me entertained as well. I was laughing while I learned. Would highly recommend it, especially for new writers, but even more seasoned writers can find some great nuggets inside.

A lighthearted and no-nonsense approach to a subject that nearly everyone contemplates at one time or another. Kris Tualla lives the been-there and still-doing-it, every day with butt in the chair and fingers on the keyboard life of the fiction writer. Neophytes would do well to heed her words.

A great "where do I start and what do I do" introduction to writing novels! It feels like chatting with a friend who's extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing what she's learned. Very easy to read, with lots of information worth noting at every stage of a beginning author's journey.
