After Rio de Janeiro is awarded the 2016 Olympic Games, a father-son team of golf course developers decides to leave their mark on Brazil. A bold resolve, and a few well-placed investors later, and their far-fetched dream of developing a golf course in Rio becomes a reality. They’re soon snapping up land and soaking up the sun on Rio’s beaches.

On one visit to tie up some loose ends in Sao Paolo though—one which the younger of the father-son team makes by himself—there is trouble. The son decides to indulge his flare for extreme sports on the waters of the Amazon. He hops a small plane from Rio to a remote village within the interior of the country, and soon sets sail.

Adrift on the Amazon, the young man loses his footing from the boat’s floor and falls into the river. Without food, water, or more than a rough sense of the geography, he struggles to find his way to safety.
