Annie Jean Brewer has written many great books extolling the virtues of frugality and minimalist living. Like her other fine online articles and published works, "400 Ways to Save a Fortune" gives realistic, workable tips on living as inexpensively as possible, but also is realistic in understanding that living frugally should not at all be like living in impoverishment.

Although many of the tips are quite original and clever, there are still a few that are plain old common sense that have been known for a long time by many, although perhaps not by all. This is a quick, easy reference book strongly recommended for anyone truly serious about severing the shiny gold-plated chains of the so-called "American Dream", and realizing that a cheaper life is truly a freer life!

I have purchased several "how to save money" type books over the years so I thought I had read it all and that there wasn't anything new for me to learn. Well, I was wrong. Annie has done a fantastic job here of thinking outside of the box to bring us some really creative ways to save money. 5 stars for teaching this old dog some new tricks!
