Short description

This is a prequel story for an upcoming series of novellas that I'll be writing. Standing up against bullies was nothing new to Rose. As a transgendered teen, she'd stood up to enough of it in her own life. This time though it had dangerous, almost deadly consequences. Given the power to level the playing field, she must decide on the best direction to go.

This is a quick story about a kid who's different, gets picked on for it, and finds the strength to stand up and protect others. In the process, she discovers something amazing, and her life will never be the same again.

It's a classic superhero origin story that is avoids being cliche'. The characters are realistic, the situations work, and the writing is excellent.

Really enjoyable! Scott has given us a solid beginning for what promises to be a very interesting character.
Well written with fleshed out, believable characters.
Don't let "transgendered" scare you. The character is the person next door, and Scott brings that out quite clearly.
