Short description

ROD PIERCE, 80s porn legend reveals behind-the-scenes stories from his GOLDEN AGE movies. From his cocaine addled co-starlets to the write-as-they filmed "one take wonder" directors, this rock star mentality is shared in intimate detail.

Extended description

ROD PIERCE, adult film star from the 1980s recounts his movie career and theories about the porn industry and the women in his life.
Having played the male lead in such "golden age of porn" classics as "BABE", "LIQUID A$$ETS", "PRISONER OF PLEASURE" and "MY MISTRESS ELECTRA" Rod Pierce aka Gregory Lions was critically acclaimed for being one of the very few male porn actors who could in fact emote. Rod stunned the adult film industry in 1981 when he beat out both Jerry Butler and Ron Jeremy by landing the male lead in the big budget epic BABE.
This book recounts his thoughts and revelations during the years prior to and after his illustrious turn as a porn star.

Greg Lions, who are you? To say you are a complex individual is an understatement. Since I knew a little bit about you prior to reading this ebook, I went into it with preconceived notions. I thought you were a lot more hard hearted than I now believe you to be. You have an underlying gentleness to your soul which made the memoir even more interesting.

To know that you were once Rod Pierce is not a shock. To read your memoirs only makes me want to know more about you. There are hints within this ebook which lead me to think there is much more to the story. It's a good thing. Always make the reader want to know more.

Pornography has been around from before I was born. In fact, I've seen a couple black & white films from the 1920's. I agree with Greg regarding the storylines, but do people really watch for the story? I think not. We are voyeurs. We watch to get sexually excited, and possibly take that excitement into our own personal lives. We watch to learn techniques. And, we watch to see how other naked bodies compare to our own (or our partners).

I've not had the pleasure to watch a film starring Rod Pierce, although I have seen numerous other pornographic films. The ebook, with all the background information, makes it more interesting. Rod is a character created by Greg Lions. Greg Lions is an artist who, according to his memoirs, put a lot of heart and soul into his performances. I'm glad to read he has no regrets, and his family stands behind him. Rod Pierce is just a small piece of the man he is today. I'm glad to have gotten to know him a little bit.
