This book was a little too well written! I kept wanting to save the poor child and thinking how many kids live this child's life in today's world. Way too many, I am afraid. I don't want to give any spoilers but the ending was . . . well . . . a bit to realistic as well! Thanks for a great book, though!

I bought this book a few hours ago and could not put it down. I grew up in the same town as Mr. O'Dell and he does a tremendous job of letting people see child abuse through the eyes of a child at the hands of those who are supposed to love, nurture and care for them. I had ordered the book on Amazon and it hadn't arrived and I found this site and read the sample and was already so involved in the story that I had to purchase it and finish it now. You'll not be able to stop reading.
