His other roommate is an aircraft mechanic, assigned to a tank maintenance facility due to an ancient clerical error. This book is absolutely hilarious! And sad! Well written...it makes for a very good and easy read. twin thumbs up!

I found the book quite interesting. I couldn't put it down, I even skipped my afternoon nap but worth it. I kept my interest which is very hard to achieve! Kudos :)

I stayed up way past my bed time 2 nights in a row reading Waiting for War! I think anyone would find it a very enjoyable read - anyone who has been trapped in a stinking, hot pit in the sandbox waiting on xport "ANYWHERE ELSE! PLEASE, GOD! ANYWHERE ELSE THAN HERE!" will find it too hilarious and too true to put down.
