Hiker's Bend is a quiet little town in Upstate New York, and the perfect place for Brooklynites Rachel and Jon McClellan to start their new lives. But the picturesque area holds a dark secret, far below its quaint streets, in the mine shafts of a bygone era. Sometimes history becomes legend, eventually fading to nothing, and sometimes history comes back to seek revenge.

Great characters, solid writing, and full of suspense! You have no choice but to read it in one sitting. One piece of advice: If you read this while home alone, be prepared to sleep with the lights on!
