17 year old Ariel shows up late to school one morning to find a new boy in her class. The only problem is she's the only one who think he's new, everyone else seems to know him. She starts having visions of beings with wings and strange colored eyes-some violet and some obsidian black. It turns out that the boy, Devin, is a demon and she also discovers that her best friends brother Amadeo is an angel. It turns out that her sister Christina is an angel and Devin has been sent to bring Christina to hell. Ariel ends up going with Devin to hell to give Christina and her family time to escape. When Ariel leaves hell she has a vision that Christina is in Heaven and begging Ariel to come get her before it's too late. Now Ariel has to rescue Christina from Heaven and also rescue Devin from being tortured in hell. Along the way Ariel also realizes her true nature and who her birth parents are.

I would classify this is a young adult paranormal. This was a good story line with characters that I came to like, but it just didn't draw my full attention. There were a lot of editing issues but I wasn't too bothered by them and they didn't detract from the story. I liked how the romance developed slowly over time. The author definitely left room for the sequel and I may be on the look out for more from this author.

I received this ebook free through LibraryThing member giveaways in exchange for an honest review.

There's no tedious preamble with this story, it jumps straight to the point with 17 year old Ariel turning up to High School thinking she must be in the Twilight zone when everyone remembers spending the last 3 years studying with a stunningly gorgeous boy Devin but her.
Are they playing a prank or is there more to it?
Very few editing errors and had a natural dialogue flow which was comfortable to follow.
Great twists and turns in the tale with easily distinguished characters being good or evil, but then the story is about Angels and Demons after all.
Very good YA paranormal fiction suitable for all readers. Hope there's a second book to come!

It was a fast, and engaging story for me. I love the story! Kinda disappointed with the lack of action in it, but I like how the story didn't really end, it gives room for a sequel? ;)

Despite the errors in sentence structure & spelling here and there, I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. The story was compelling, the characters intriguing. I think this novel would be especially popular with teens.

I REALLY enjoyed this book! I loved how Alycia jumped right into the plot of the story, I was sucked into this world she created from the first page in. The writing style is different but yet simple which I really loved because she gets straight to the point and the action. The characters are well developed and didn't need more description then what was already given.

The Plot:
When Ariel comes late to school she notices that they have a handsome new student in class named Devin. When Ariel starts questioning Devin's arrival to her school everyone tells her that Devin is not a new student and has been going to their school since her freshman year. Ariel thinks she is going crazy and upon Devin's mysterious appearance Ariel has started to have weird visions of people with wings. As her visions start to become clearer, Ariel learns that their are demons who want to take her sister Christina to hell. In order for Ariel to protect her sister she must seek out the people in her visions and find out what the demons for hell want from her sister. Ariel not only has to save her sister but she also has to save herself as she finds out a secret that will change her life entirely.

I liked the twist Alycia put on Heaven, Hell, and Earth. It's really original and think that everyone will respect that not everything is what it seems. I
