Tommie Lanier, eighteen, and her fraternal twin, William, travel to Hawaii with five of their closest childhood friends to celebrate their graduation from high school and their newfound freedom. Tommie shares telepathic abilities with William; a secret they have maintained since birth.

Tommie arrives in Maui just in time to find her oldest brother, Adam, a genetic research scientist, acting suspiciously about his work. While her twin brother entertains their friends, Tommie sets out to discover what deep dark secrets Adam is hiding.

Unbeknownst to Adam, Tommie has her first encounter with his employer, Maurice, the rich magnate. Her instincts tell her to beware, he is not to be trusted.
