I never thought I'd be a writer, much less publish a book. I always wanted to be a veterinarian. I guess life just had other plans for me. When my husband and I decided to start a family, vet school pretty much went out the window. I used to work with a vet who had three children while going through vet school. To this day, she is my hero.
Two years ago, I began writing a story that, for whatever reason, was stuck in my head for almost a year. I have been an avid romance reader for a long time, and the idea took hold to - why not? - write my own!
It has been a long and difficult journey from my first sentence to a completed, and hopefully polished, manuscript.
The story, titled Yellowstone Heart Song, is set in the Rocky Mountain region which today encompasses Yellowstone National Park. It takes place decades before the area was even known to white men, a time just after Lewis and Clark, before the mountain man era was in full swing.
The story has turned into, what I'm calling the Yellowstone Romance Series. I have finished book 2, titled Yellowstone Redemption, which will release soon after Book 1. The third, titled Yellowstone Awakening, is in its final stages of completion, and I have begun my newest title, Yellowstone Dawn.

I originally read Sara Donati's, Into the Wilderness, series and happened upon, Yellowstone Romance series, by Peggy L. Henderson, while searching for Time Travel romance books. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and setting. Daniel is such a wonderful character, a bit moody, mysterious, and at first, very quiet. Aimee, considering herself an avid outdoors-woman, accepts a patient's offer to send her two hundred years into the past. When she meets, Daniel, a trapper from the 1800's who can't for the life of him understand what a white woman is doing in the backwoods without a husband, the sparks fly and they aren't all from lust. Daniel takes her under his wing and as they discover each other, Aimee also discovers the pristine beauty of Yellowstone in the 1800's, while Daniel discovers his unanticipated--if not a bit unsettling--feelings for her. He teaches her how to live in the wilderness, but despite everything she learns, Aimee finds herself in dilemma after dilemma. Yet, it is the quagmire, which both of them land in near the end of the book that causes their passionate relationship to unravel. Wonderful read! Awesome chemistry between the two main characters! Great plot and sexy male protagonist. I adored this book and plan to read more of Ms. Henderson's books.

I stumbled on this book for the read an e-book promotion and took a chance. Having loved Yellowstone since I first visited it when I was 16 it sounded like something I may enjoy.
Wow!! I have found a new author to add to my favorites. This book drew me in right from the start and wouldn't let go. The characters have a lot of depth and as the reader I felt the entire range of emotions they were feeling. What an ending! I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the series.
