Cowboy Chicken puts on a surprise rodeo.

"Chicken worked all week long,
carrying pails of nails, and wooden rails,
and lanterns through the night.
In and out of shadows he crept, with ladders
dragging and buckets banging,
but he did not cry for help.
There were secrets in his eyes
but not a word for anyone…" More

“This is a great little book about friendship to read aloud.
It's whimsical and wise with lots of clever wordplay to entertain.
The illustrations are a delightful 'extra' and add to the fun.
Frog and Toad and friends are just good old-fashioned company,
with their zany little adventures and their ability to make you smile
over and over again.
I think all ages would enjoy this lovely book.”

Her review captures the essence of all my work.

Review by: Mike Campbell on March 06, 2012 :
This book is very clever at drawing the reader into the story of a fun filled day, and a fabulous dramatic show, that Chicken has arranged. It is a magic show with flair, and involves Bear participating(although Bear has little idea of whats expected of him). The show continues with fanfare, and Chicken performs tricks which delight the audience. Bear is left to have lunch with his friends and ponder the days magical happenings.
