Chloe Marr and Peter Magnus are back, and this time their tangled up in an ménage with Chloe's step-aunt! It's sex with toys and cucumbers, in another hot edition of Rock 'N' Roll Step Dads.
After Chloe's mom drives her from her apartment in the city, Sarah, Chloe's step aunt, offers her a place to stay. Close in age, these two have a sexual past together that is soon rekindled. When Peter pays a surprise visit, back from his tour with Iscariot's Glory, he finds the girls in a compromising position. And he's all too happy to join in on the fun.
I grabbed a t-shirt from the bed and went to the door. If it was Mom calling again, I didn't want poor Sarah to have to put up with her antics alone. Getting off would have to wait. I cast a longing look over my shoulder at the computer, and then left my temporary room.
Sarah stood in the hallway, long chestnut bangs falling over one hazel eye. She smiled up at me as she held the cell phone to her ear. "That's great, Peter. I'll tell her. See you late tonight or tomorrow then. Bye."
I was grateful it wasn't mom. Ever since she and Peter finalized the divorce, and he and I began casually seeing one another, she'd been back to her Jekyll and Hyde routine. I should've known she wouldn't make good on her promise to heal our relationship, but I'd hoped just the same.
"Hey, good news," Sarah said, pushing 'END' on her tiny phone. "Your sweetie's on his way back to town. They've got a week break before they head to Ontario and Quebec for a few dates. He might make it here tonight."
I smiled, but thoughts of Mom still nagged. She complicated everything in my life, it seemed, especially this new relationship with Peter. Was it even a relationship? I wasn't sure, and I wasn't sure I wanted one either.
"Chloe, you okay?" Sarah gently cupped my chin. "You don't look your usual overjoyed self at the mention of Peter."
I squeezed her hand and sighed. "It's not him. It's just…Mom, and everything. Life happens so fast sometimes, I feel like I don't get a chance to catch my breath, you know? And, between you and me? I'm just not sure what I want with Peter."
Sarah stroked my cheek and I leaned into her hand for a moment, closing my eyes. I'd been staying with my aunt-by-marriage for about a week now. Ever since Mom started showing up at my apartment every morning before work, screaming and ready for an all out cat fight. She took a chunk of my hair with her the first time I kicked her out.
Even though Peter was on the road with his band, Iscariot's Glory, he still tried to reason with Mom for me. But there was no stopping her when she went into full rage mode. Mom made up her own reality then, and no one could show her the conclusions she came to in her own head were false.
"So don't stress about it." Sarah followed me to my room, when I motioned for her to do so. "Just enjoy what you have for now."
