I couldn't put this down. It just drags you along into a vortex of 'unbelievable' and yet totally believable humanity. Beautifully drawn characters and a tight powerful plot.

A really good read. It's hard not to empathise with some of the characters and feel angry with others. The child's 'voice' seemed very real. I liked the ending too (I won't spoil it by revealing it here).

Read this in one sitting. Could not put it down. Shed tears (of sadness and joy). Wonderful characters and story. Quite uplifting. I wonder how much of it is true.
