I admired the voice behind the character. It had the perfect combination of humor, nostalgia, and surprise. The language also fit into the story—something that would make you want to read out loud all the dialogues. The author was able to avoid the risk of sounding too flat when he allowed his main character to do the narration. I think this is superb. In fact, I think this is a good piece of literature.
